The Concordia Summit |
September 20, 2011 On 9/20 the inaugural Concordia Summit was held at The Ritz Carlton in Battery Park, NYC down the street from the World Trade Center Plaza. This unique event was a mixture of over 100 business professionals in the security industry with top level political decision makers from around the globe. The event provided a clear perspective to the challenges faced by leaders dealing with extremists. Scott Schober (BVS CEO/President) was interviewed and discussed the niche design solutions that address the security vulnerabilities that are so prevalent globally and exploited by extremists. Berkeley's security tools effectively combat this growing problem by detecting and locating mobile phones that are used to orchestrate cyber crimes and compromise national security. Governor Thomas Kean Chairman of the 9/11 Commission provided insight into the challenges the 9/11 commission faces. In his keynote address the former President George W. Bush commented that he was pleased to address the 100 top security professionals from around the globe in hopes that the culmination of these great minds could combat extremists that are misusing technology. |
