YellowjacketPLUS 802.11b Wi-Fi Analyzer

Yellowjacket® PLUS is a wireless receiver system designed specifically for sweeping, analyzing and optimizing 2.4 GHz W-LANs and WISPs. The instrument measures coverage of DSSS networks which operate on the IEEE 802.11b standard allowing the user to determine the AP (Access Point), PER (Packet Error Rate), Signal-to-Noise (SNR), Multipath (Ec/Io) and RSSI signal levels aiding in locating the hub and access points of neighboring WLANs. Yellowjacket PLUS functions as a complete WLAN analysis system housing both the PocketPC® Windows CE® environment along with Berkeley’s precision receiver technology. An optional internal 12-channel GPS receiver may be added which allows Yellowjacket users to geo-time stamp every measurement taken for post processing later. Yellowjacket is also fully compliant with Hive Indoor Mapping Software so users may also create, edit and analyze W-LANs indoors where GPS reception is not possible.

The YellowJacket Data Logger is a software application for Windows® CE that displays, records and logs all WLAN data received by the YellowJacket® on the iPAQ® PocketPC® PDA. The software allows complete control of the YellowJacket receiver. Data can be saved on the iPAQ for later replay and conversion. YellowJacket® runsHive Indoor Mapping Software which allows the users to create , modify and plot measurements in real-time all on a PocketPC®.

Does the YellowJacket PLUS offer storage of data?
Yes, an iPAQ offers internal storage of data. Of course data may also be "dragged" over to a PC synced to the iPAQ.

Does the YellowJacket PLUS collect GPS data?
There is an optional internal GPS receiver that may be ordered with Yellowjacket PLUS for an additional $1,000.
