- While the YellowFin does scan the spectrum that common 802.11 Wi-Fi devices operate on, it does not demodulate Wi-Fi packets. YellowFin was designed for WiMAX installations, troubleshooting and interference detection. Yellowjacket-TABLET is similar in that it uses a touch screen interface and receiver combo but only for Wi-Fi studies.
- Will this YellowFin do Fixed WiMAX studies too?

- This model's receiver is calibrated for 802.16e Mobile WiMAX RF and packet data specifically. The YellowFin Fixed WiMAX analyzer is designed specifically for802.16d Fixed WiMAX studies.
