Octopus LPWAN Surveyor Signal Meter is designed for both professional and non-professional installers that need to verify the strongest signal for IoT (Internet of Things) devices including smart lights, smart cities, smart traffic, smart vehicles and smart homes. Octopus LPWAN Surveyor measures GSM, CAT-M, and NB-IoT signal strength in real time RSRQ, RSRP and RSSI making it ideal for IoT installations sites and antenna alignments. Octopus ships with everything you need to get started including a rugged carrying case, charging dock, antenna and PC software for export of measurements for further analysis.

Octopus LPWAN Surveyor Signal Meter steps users through a series of simple menu choices starting with carrier. If you already have a contract with a specific wireless carrier or your cell signal booster only supports that carrier, you can select that carrier and continue. If you’re not sure which carrier is best for your cell booster installation, you can quickly scan all nearby carriers and sort results instantly by carrier name, frequency band or signal strength using Octopus’ color touchscreen. Octopus measures 2G/3G/4G LTE all in one unit making it ideal for migrating from older to newer cellular networks. Once you’ve selected a carrier, Octopus will display bright signal strength in real time with peak measurement as well as large text including carrier name, band number and RSSI signal strength.

Octopus Worldwide Signal Meter includes a standard SMA connector allowing a direct connection to any antenna including directional antennas usually mounted outside. Simply connect antenna line into Octopus, locate the cellular base station signal that you want to boost and go to the antenna alignment screen. From there, you receive instant measurements as you adjust your antenna for maximum signal strength. If you do not know where the best wireless base station is located, you can quickly search in every direction using a direction finding antenna and Octopus in DF mode.
