Octopus measures RSSI 2G, 3G and 4G LTE signal strength in real time making it ideal for migrating from 3G to 4G networks. Octopus ships with everything you need to get started including a rugged carrying case, charging dock, antenna and PC software for export of measurements for further analysis.

Octopus Worldwide Signal Meter optimizes wireless installation sites and antenna alignments for EV charging stations and vital services including security and fire alarms, wireless video camera feeds, utility smart meters, elevators, emergency phones, medical emergency services, carbon monoxide detectors and more. Cell signal boosters are popular in areas where cellular coverage is spotty or weak and can greatly boost any mobile signal. Do you trust your smartphone’s field test mode or signal bars? It is limited to your phone’s particular antenna design, speed and carrier. Field test mode (FTM) apps and signal bars do not deliver accurate realtime measurements required for cell signal booster installations.

Octopus Worldwide Signal Meter steps users through a series of simple menu choices starting with carrier. If you already have a contract with a specific wireless carrier or your cell signal booster only supports that carrier, you can select that carrier and continue. If you’re not sure which carrier is best for your cell booster installation, you can quickly scan all nearby carriers and sort results instantly by carrier name, frequency band or signal strength using Octopus’ color touchscreen. Octopus measures 2G/3G/4G LTE all in one unit making it ideal for migrating from older to newer cellular networks. Once you’ve selected a carrier, Octopus will display bright signal strength in real time with peak measurement as well as large text including carrier name, band number and RSSI signal strength.

Octopus Worldwide Signal Meter includes a standard SMA connector allowing a direct connection to any antenna including directional antennas usually mounted outside. Simply connect antenna line into Octopus, locate the cellular base station signal that you want to boost and go to the antenna alignment screen. From there, you receive instant measurements as you adjust your antenna for maximum signal strength. If you do not know where the best wireless base station is located, you can quickly search in every direction using a direction finding antenna and Octopus in DF mode.
