SentryHound-Pro™ Ferromagnetic Contraband Screener is a single pole (add a 2nd pole for complete walk through) solution to detect unauthorized or illegal cell phones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, wearables and even weapons including guns, knives, makeshift shivs, shanks and even pipe bombs. SentryHound-Pro’s ferromagnetic detection zones are highly sensitive to trace amounts of ferrous material found in plastic cell phones and miniaturized electronics. These same cell phones slip through regular metal detection but not SentryHound-Pro because of its sensitivity, unique motion detection and enhanced false trigger rejection. Standard metal detectors falsely trigger on all kinds of commonly used metals including titanium found in medical and prosthetic implants and aluminum used in everyday containers but not SentryHound-Pro. This allows for a rapid security checkpoint of pockets, bags, purses, clothing and even body cavities.

Is there any health risk for pregnant women?

No, there is no health risk whatsoever for pregnant women. SentryHound Pro operates entirely passively, meaning it does not emit any energy—no RF (radio frequency), no microwave, no ionizing radiation, and no magnetic pulses. It simply detects changes in the Earth’s natural magnetic field caused by the presence of large ferromagnetic objects, such as weapons.
Because it does not generate any active signal or field, it is completely safe for individuals at any stage of pregnancy and poses zero teratogenic (harmful to the fetus) or thermal risk.

Will it emit any sounds or pose any risk to people with prosthetic components?

The system does not emit any ultrasonic sounds during operation, except for a brief alert tone or visual indicator if a threat is detected. These alerts are purely for human awareness and are non-invasive. There is no interference or risk for individuals with prosthetic limbs, metal implants, or surgical hardware (such as hip or knee replacements, orthopedic rods, or screws). In fact, such individuals routinely pass through the SentryHound Pro without incident. Our system does not induce currents, vibrations, or resonance in metallic or composite materials, so there is no discomfort, noise, or risk to prosthetic devices.

Is there any risk for elderly individuals or those with heart devices such as pacemakers?

Absolutely not. SentryHound Pro is safe for individuals with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators (ICDs), or other cardiac devices. Many detection systems on the market today emit strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields that can, in rare circumstances, interfere with pacemaker function. SentryHound Pro does not fall into this category—it is fully passive, with no active magnetic field generation. It simply senses distortions to the ambient magnetic field, which presents no interference or interaction with medical electronics. The device complies with internationally recognized standards for medical safety and has been used successfully in sensitive environments including hospitals, correctional facilities, and government buildings where medical devices are routinely present.
