Yorkie Cellular Search and Rescue Kit
$1,995.00
Yorkie Cellular Search and Rescue Kit is a low cost, high-speed scanning receiver utilizing a multi-band direction finding antenna system. This allows search and rescue, law enforcement and any emergency response teams to detect and locate distant cellular signals from victims missing or lost in remote areas over a mile away. Yorkie works by only detecting the cellular signature of any common mobile phone so long as that phone is powered ON and not in airplane mode. It will not falsely trigger from nearby walkie-talkie, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signals.

Not everyone carries an emergency transponder on them but everyone carries a cell phone
Unlike expensive and complex cellular detection systems (commonly known as Stingrays) that mimic cellular base stations, Yorkie is affordable, pocket-size and does not require any prior legal authorization to operate. No warrants or court orders are needed allowing emergency SAR teams to lock onto faint cellular signals during those initial, time-critical hours or minutes that define all rescue operations.
Yorkie’s touch screen allows users to immediately adjust threshold levels and set attenuation for noisy RF floors for any terrain or environment. Yorkie’s internal battery can be operated for over 4 hours on a full charge.

Does Yorkie identify callers or their phone numbers?”
No. Yorkie Cell Phone Detector is a precision RF cellular scanning device that identifies cellphone activity (both standby mode and active modes) and assists in locating them. It is a wireless tool used by security officers and personnel that require a NO WIRELESS security policy
How far away can I detect cell phones?”
Typical range is about 125 feet but this increases outside and line of sight situations.
Does the intensity of the vibration correspond to signal strength or distance from a phone?”
No, the vibration of the Yorkie remains constant regardless of the signal strength.
Can I detect phones in standby mode?
Yorkie can detect phones in the standby mode but keep in mind when a phone is ON in standby it is not constantly transmitting. Phones register to the local cell tower/base station at different intervals that the tower/carrier determines (could be every so many seconds, minutes, 5 minutes, or we have seen 20 minutes). If you take your phone and put it next to Yorkie and shut off your phone completely wait a few minutes then turn the phone on your phone should try to register to the base station and you should see a short alert on Yorkie screen.
Does Yorkie support RF direction finding?”
Yes, Yorkie supports true RF direction finding using the optional wideband DF antenna which can greatly enhance sensitivity allowing users to pinpoint cellular use from greater distances.
Can Yorkie work in areas with a lot of cellular activity?”
Yes, but it is much easier to identify specific cellular sources in areas where phone use is normally restricted. Yorkie always looks for the strongest signal but users can adjust attenuation to help distinguish between various cellular sources.
