The annual working group meeting brings together SAPTA members and other subject matter experts from your community and across the globe to discuss new trends, devices, techniques, and case success stories involving payment terminal crimes and the criminal organizations behind them. This is designated as a meeting, not a training event. Please be aware that this meeting is intended for subject matter experts and investigators who regularly work skimming and access device fraud investigations; this is not a Skimming 101 training.

This year’s conference is hosted by the IAFCI OK-AR Chapter in Oklahoma City. We anticipate nearly 800 attendees. Our conference is committed to bringing attendees the latest insights on financial crimes, loss mitigation methods, investigative tools, current emerging trends, and cybersecurity from industry experts.

Keystone Konnection 2025

The Keystone Konnection Conference held every May.  The conference is a two day event organized in conjunction with our sister chapter from Pittsburgh.  Keystone Konnection delivers information to attendees on the latest trends and events in banking and law enforcement.  As many as 350 people have attended this regional event, making it the model for the entire IAFCI organization.

IAFCI (International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators)

For nearly thirty years we were the International Association of Credit Card Investigators (IACCI). In 1996, the membership chose to change the name and the mission of the association to expand our focus to other related financial transaction crimes as well. This was in response to the changing crime picture were the same criminals where committing a variety of financial crimes. The Association became the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI).

Strategic Management of Global Information Systems

Professor Eduardo Espinal invited Mr. Scott Schober to speak on cybersecurity, the challenges he has encountered in the field, and the strategic mindset and resilience required to overcome them. He also shared his journey into becoming an author. Hearing firsthand about real-world cybersecurity threats and the determination needed to tackle them was incredibly insightful. Both Mr. Scott Schober and Professor Eduardo Espinal are proud Kean University alumni!
